1. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, phone number, or any financial details you enter into our calculators. All inputs are processed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data: page views, session duration, and general traffic patterns. This data does not identify you as an individual.
2. Feedback Forms
If you choose to submit feedback through our feedback form, your message and the email address you provide are processed via EmailJS and sent directly to us. We use this only to respond to your message and improve the product. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
3. Cookies
We use cookies through Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These are strictly analytics cookies and do not track personal information. You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings without affecting the functionality of any calculator.
4. Google reCAPTCHA
Our feedback form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends this data to Google for analysis. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
5. Comments and Google Sign-In
Our website includes a public comments section powered by Google Firebase Firestore. If you leave a comment, the name you provide and your comment text are stored in Firebase and visible to all visitors of that page.
You may optionally sign in with your Google account to comment. If you do, we store your Google display name, profile photo URL, and a unique Firebase user ID (not your email address) alongside your comment. Your email address is accessible to us via Firebase Authentication but is never displayed publicly or shared with third parties.
Signing in with Google is entirely optional. You can comment anonymously using just your name at any time.
Comments are public by nature. Do not include sensitive personal or financial information in your comments. If you wish to have your comment or account data removed, email us at hello@knowyouremi.in and we will delete it promptly.
To prevent duplicate likes on comments, we store an anonymous device identifier in your browser's localStorage. This identifier does not contain any personal information and is never transmitted to our servers.
6. External Links
Our site and blog may link to external resources, lenders, or third-party tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We recommend reviewing each site's privacy policy before sharing any personal information.
7. Data Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Since we do not collect or store personal or financial data on our servers, the risk of unauthorized access to your information is minimal by design.
8. Your Rights
If you have submitted feedback and want us to delete your message and email address from our records, write to us at hello@knowyouremi.in and we will do so promptly. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
