Why Rashid built this
When Rashid took his first loan, he did what most people do. He checked the EMI, found it affordable, and signed. What he did not see was the total interest he would pay over the full tenure, what even one part payment early on would have saved him, or what the real cost of carrying a credit card balance month to month actually was. That information existed. No one showed it clearly.
Over the years, working through personal loans, credit cards, and home loan decisions, the same pattern kept showing up. Good intentions, reasonable-sounding choices, and then a final number that felt much larger than expected. The cost of not knowing the full picture before signing is almost always more than people realise.
KnowYourEMI was built to change that. To put the complete picture in front of you before you decide, not after. Free, with no sign-ups, and with tools that go further than just telling you the monthly instalment.

How we got here
People often sign loan documents without seeing the full picture. How much interest they will pay in total, what happens when the rate changes, or whether the lender they are with is even the right one. The numbers are not hidden. They are just never shown clearly upfront.
Existing EMI calculators stop at the monthly instalment. The real questions people have: what if I pay extra, should I switch lenders, how long to clear my credit card balance, had no good honest tools. So we built them.
Five free calculators, a blog written in plain language, and 36,000+ users served. We are not a bank, a broker, or a financial advisor. We are a tool that shows you the numbers honestly, before you sign anything.
More calculators, more articles written the way a knowledgeable friend would explain them, and a community of borrowers who actually understand their finances.
